Mod your bedazzler to set spike studs too! Shown here using size 40.
Alright so check it out, this is a simple tutorial on how to modify the Bedazzler‘s plungers to accommodate spike studs in sizes 20, 30 and 40. Even more awesome is that the bedazzler will still set all the other studs shapes it used to. You’re just making it more versatile. Do these one at a time, to keep the parts from getting mixed up.

what you’ll need a screw gun or drill
drill bits in sizes 3/32″, 5/32″ and 7/32″ and of course, a bedazzler from kit kraft with the included 20, 30 and size 40 plungers. |

step 1 – dissemble the plunger. Pull out the plastic pin out to separate the 4 components. I used my teeth, but if you’re smart, you’ll use a pair of pliers. |
<—- You’re going to drill into this piece. The part with the scoop. And its that scoop that’s preventing the spike stud from setting properly. By drilling a hole slightly smaller than the overall diameter, we’re allowing the point of the spike to sit straight, and set without slipping around. |
step 2 – drill depending on which plunger you’re modifying, choose the corresponding drill bit. size 20 = 3/32″ drill bit size 30 = 5/32″ drill bit size 40 = 7/32″ drill bit Make sure the drill bit is perfectly centered in the scoop and angled directly down. Drill into the plastic with short , light bursts until you make it all the way through. |
step 3 – reassemble the plunger Repeat the steps on the other plungers with the corresponding drill bit sizes. This is what your new and improved plungers will look like after you put them all back together. |

…and you’re done! Now you can set all the studs you used to, plus our cone spike studs.
